A graphic take on Colorado's state flower, I decided to utilize halftone stippling drawing the eyes inward towards the illustrative flowers. Utilizing a gradient from lighter blue, to purple, to magenta allows a softer, monotone color scheme in juxtaposition to the more illustrative and graphic detail lines within the flowers themselves. These two main techniques provide depth, texture, and rhythm to the overall composition.
